Healdsburg Farmer's Market & Dragonfly Floral Farm

Live like a local for the day as you shop the charming Healdsburg Farmers' Market and cook with ultra-local and seasonal wine country ingredients. Relish owner Donna del Rey will lead a stroll through the Market to meet the purveyors, taste and learn about their exquisite products and explore new flavors. Guests will help select the seasonal fruits, vegetables and artisan cheeses for the dinner menu with extra time to purchase goodies to take home.

After our time at the Market, participants will have free time in the afternoon to enjoy Healdsburg before we meet-up for the evening hands-on cooking workshop led by a talented, local chef (varies for each date). Guests will learn techniques for cooking with the just-gathered ingredients before sitting to relax and FMgrillingsavor the hearty farm-fresh dinner with specially selected local wines.

This Relish class includes 2 glasses of wine (8 oz. total) per person served to all participants over 21 years of age. Additional wine is available for purchase by the glass or bottle.

Making pasta from scratch is the ultimate playing-with-your-food experience. At this class at Longboard Vineyards Cellar, guests will experience the magic of transforming flour and eggs into an amazing pasta meal. Chef Jack Herron leads participants through making and kneading the pasta dough, rolling it out, and making both fettucine and ricotta-filled ravioli, with everyone hands-on through the entire process. Our handmade pastas would not be complete without sauces, so we'll create a delicate spring vegetable-brown butter and a sausage with roasted tomato sauce. The pasta dinner will be supplemented with a welcome snack, seasonalgreen salad and dessert. Longboard will feature a variety ofwines for pairing throughout the Pasta "nests"experience, of course!

Capturing Seasonal Garden Flavors: Infusions, Teas & Syrups

Spend an amazing afternoon at the magical Dragonfly Floral Farm learning about how to capture the seasonal scents and flavors of the garden. After a tour of the organic flower farm, Dragonfly owner and master designerBonnie Z will lead this creative class that combines demonstrations of and discussions about infusion techniques with hands-on DIY activities and a few take-home goodies. We'll focus on peak-of-the-season late spring ingredients from the Dragonfly garden, including roses, lemon verbena, lavendar, rose geranium and more, across the various items to be infused--oil, syrup, hot and cold water. Bonnie has been experimenting with methods to preserve garden elements and is excited to share what she's learned about oil infusing machines; participants will taste and/or appply a few amples of her oils. Guests will also formulate their own garden tea blends (to sip from vintage tea cups) and create a flavored syrup to use in a surprise beverage, taking home samples of each. Lastly, guests will receive recipes, formulations and techniques to use as inspiration to create custom infusions from your own Rosesgarden. This is sure to be a delicious, educational and memorable experience!
