Cooking from the Spring Garden
A Sonoma Wine Country Dinner to Benefit School Garden Network
Saturday, May 7, 2016
4 - 7 pm
Relish Culinary Center, Healdsburg
$125 per person
Celebrate the fresh flavors of spring in the garden at this hands-on culinary experience with Relish's own chef Anne Cornell. Chef Anne has created a bright wonderful menu that features spring produce picked from local school gardens especially for our dinner. We'll supplement our garden flavors with Bernier Farms Green Garlic, spring Ricotta Cheese from Bellwether Farms, Dry Creek Olive Oil and other local ingredients. Participants will create the entire meal under the guidance of Chef Anne who's excited to share some of her favorite techniques for preparing these amazingly fresh ingredients, including brining, roasting, grilling and smoking, techniques that guests can apply to other ingredients in their own kitchens. We'll enjoy our spring feast with specially selected wines from Kosta Browne.
Net proceeds will be donated to School Garden Network, a local non-profit dedicated to promoting and supporting sustainable garden and nutrition-based learning programs in K-12 schools throughout Sonoma County. No group discounts, gift certificates or donation certificates can be applied.

About Chef Anne Cornell
Chef Anne's love of food and cooking began early in her family’s kitchen in Camden, Maine. Upon graduating from the University of Southern Maine, she was off to the Cook Street School of Fine Cooking in Denver and international classes in Provence and Northern Italy. Chef Anne returned to Maine where she headed the kitchen at the Megunticook Golf Club, then began her move west to cook at a variety of restaurants in Denver, Colorado. Drawn by the creativity of the culinary scene, she landed in San Francisco where she honed her wide-ranging skills in a variety of restaurant, catering, consulting, teaching and private chef positions. Anne moved to Sonoma County to be closer to the sources of some of the world’s best seasonal ingredients. She joined Relish in 2013 and has expanded its delicious culinary programs into new and unique areas.
