Healdsburg is best known for its location at the convergence of three recognized wine growing valleys—Russian River, Dry Creek, and Alexander Valley. But this agricultural center does not just produce grapes. It is also home to a wide variety of award-winning olive oils, cheeses, meat and produce sourced by top restaurants in Sonoma, Napa, San Francisco and beyond.
You don’t have to travel far to experience the farms that create these amazing ingredients. This day trip takes us to some of the most scenic and delicious spots in Dry Creek Valley as we learn about the farmers and artisans who work the land. Along the way we’ll forage for ingredients for our lunch, ending our day at Lambert Bridge Winery’s Al Fresco Kitchen where we’ll savor our lunch with lovely Lambert Bridge wines.
$159/person includes all tours, tastes, lunch with two glasses of wine.

After meeting at the Relish Culinary Center, we’ll start the morning at Dragonfly Floral Farm just minutes from downtown Healdsburg. Bonnie Z, the master designer behind Dragonfly’s gorgeous natural arrangements, will greet us and provide an oral history of the farm. Then we’ll have time to explore the beautiful 6-acre estate, stopping to experience the Willow Circle, feed the chickens and ducks, and gather some edible flowers and herbs to incorporate in our lunch.
We’ll leave Dragonfly and drive up-valley to the Dry Creek Olive Company, a producer of award-winning olive oils made from local olives. We’ll tour the press and learn about the slow, resource-intensive process for making artisan olive oil, modeled after the authentic methods of Italy’s Perugia region. Then we’ll taste through Dry Creek Olive Company’s extensive line of oils and vinegars, selecting our favorite to incorporate in our later lunch.
From flowers to olives to peaches, our next stop is Dry Creek Peach and Produce at the north end of the valley. Current owners Brian and Gayle Sullivan purchased the property in 1998 and expanded the orchard to 30 varieties of tree-ripened organic peaches. Participants will enjoy a refreshing white peach Bellini sparkling cocktail as they tour the beautiful orchard with Gayle and taste amazingly flavorful peaches.
After gathering a few peaches for our lunch, we’ll move to our final destination—Lambert Bridge Winery. We’ll regroup at the Al Fresco Kitchen where the finishing touches—edible flowers and herbs, olive oil and fresh peaches—will be put added to our three-course lunch. We’ll savor our meal with outstanding Lambert Bridge wines as we learn about the history of the winery.
